The Day the Court Stood Still

With the pandemic putting everything to a halt, basketball courts are left unused. They became blank spaces and a barren concrete plot. But the silence and emptiness of the courts also meant less or no income for people that rely on it for a living. Professional games were cancelled - what more for smaller, day-to-day barangay players. Not only them, but also indirect players like vendors, officials, committees, etc. What will tell us we’re already back to normal and the pandemic has ended? When basketball, in all its forms, is back.
